The tour can start and finish, as you wish in Lisbon or Oporto.
This tour will take place in May/June/July 2009

Day one in Oporto
- Wine Ways representative will contact you in Lisbon or Oporto , to meet together
- Overnight: Nice Hotel with 1st class facilities in Lisboa/Oporto area

Day Two
• 09.00 a.m. Departure from Hotel
• 11.00 a.m. Arrival at Quinta do Portal and check in at Casa das Pipas
• 12.00 a.m. Visit to vineyards and cellar and starting "Tasting Marathon"
• 01.00 p.m. Regional lunch at the local restaurant.
• 03.00 p.m. Wine Tasting and introduction to Douro & Port Wine
• 04.00 p.m. Trip along local small vilages part of " Douro World Heritage"
• 05.30 p.m. We go back to Quinta do Portal, to the hotel where the spa and beauty treatment is waiting for you.
Quinta do Portal is situated in the Cima Corgo north of Pinhão. The hotel named Casa das Pipas is situated about 500 metres behind the company complex.
- Today you will be picked up at the door of your hotel to drive you to the Douro valley, stopping en route at a few lovely places. Wineries normally closed to the general public, will open their doors just for you and you'll receive VIP treatment throughout the tour. As you will have this route is exceptionally beautiful, and a good introductory short tour to the "best of" food and wine experiences in Portugal

Day Three
• 09.00 a.m. Departure from Casa das Pipas.
• 10.00 a.m. Tour around Vineyards and Douro "socalcos" and unique experiences
• 11.00 a.m. Arrive at Quinta Nova visit to vineyards and cellar
• 11.30 a.m Wine Tasting and Visit to vineyards and nice view
• 01.00 p.m. Regional lunch with wine tasting at the manour house.
• 03.00 p.m. Activities along Douro River
• 06.00 p.m. Return the hotel where the spa and beauty treatment is waiting for you.
• 08.00 p.m. Dinner at a Nobles House in Sabrosa, hosted by the owner
Day Four
Early Breakfast at hotel and trip to South.
• 9.00 a.m. Departure from Hotel in Douro and travel to South
• 12.00 a.m. Arrival at Quinta da Lagoalva
• 12.15 a.m. Visit to vineyards, cellar and Lusitano Horses
• 01.30 p.m. Regional lunch with tasted wines at an exclusive restaurant.
• 02.30 p.m. Driving along the countryside where you can see the different type of landscapes.
• 03.30 p.m. Second stop at Estremadura or Bucelas ( eg: Quinta da Murta).
• 05.00 p.m. We go back to Lisbon, to the hotel where the spa and beauty treatment is waiting for you.
- Today you will be picked up at the door of your hotel and driven to Ribatejo and Estremadura or Bucelas. On the way back you will drive via nice country views and we'll have a typical lunch in very unique place call Escaroupim.
In ancient times, people living at the medium course of River Tejo (Salvaterra, Santarém) used to live of fish caught in the river. Their houses were built with timber, very tiny houses with a door at the front and a window at the back, only 2x3 meters. The houses were built over blocks of stone or wood to prevent the infiltration of river water in case of floods, very frequent in winter. The displayed houses are rebuilt under the old lines and serve only Holliday makers. The hard life is now gone, and only the romance remains.

Day Five
• 09.00 a.m. Departure from Lisbon.
• 11.00 a.m. Arrival at Alentejo which best producers were selected, like JPortugal Ramos, Herdade das Servas etc.
12.00 a.m. Visit to the vineyards and cellar
• 01.00 p.m. Regional lunch at the local restaurant.
• 02.30 p.m. Trip along the hills where you can see the different types of vineyards.
• 03.00 p.m. Arrival at Gloria Reynolds at Monte Figueira de Cima
• 04.30 p.m. We go back to Lisbon, to the hotel where the spa and beauty treatment is waiting for you.
- Today you will be picked up at the door of your hotel, and driven to Alentejo.
On the way back, if there is time, you will visit Estremoz, Rising from the plain like a pyramid of salt set out to dry in the sun, fortified Estremoz is in the centre of the marble-quarry region of Alentejo. Cottages and mansions alike use the luxurious marble in their construction and trim.
In the heart of the Alentejo region, 180 Km south of Lisbon, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, the Herdade do Esporão produces wines of great quality. Their modern cellars were built in 1987.In 1989 the first wine "Esporão" was considered one of the best Portuguese wines and three years later the brand "Monte Velho" was launched. In 1995, after their brands were considered among the best in Portugal, new investments were made. A new area of vineyard was planted and the existent was completely renovated. A dam with 4.000.000 m3 capacity was built, feeding a drip irrigation system that covers the entire vineyard. The purchase of Perdigões Estate, with 180 ha of vineyards, the expansion of the cellar and the construction of the wine tourism complex are some of the most recent investments of this dynamic company developing the "Herdade do Esporão".
- A special visit to Gloria Reynolds in Herdade Figueira de Cima . In the vineyards the hill upon which our 41 hectares (100 acres) of vineyard lie is crowned by cork oaks and crossed by a path landscaped with lavender hedges.

Day Six
Take advantage of your free time in Lisbon Shopping Centres, or enjoying the Hotel facilities and transfer from Hotel to Airport
